The Deal

Key Terms

  • Expires December 1, 2025.

Quick Thoughts

The Oura Ring 4 normally starts at $349, so this sale is giving discounts starting at $100, although some discounts are higher.

For example, both the Silver and Black versions usually cost $349 and are discounted to $249. The Gold and Rose Gold versions meanwhile normally cost $499 and are discounted to $349 – savings of $150.

It’ll likely be the $249 Oura Rings that are of most interest though, particularly for those with a consumer Amex Platinum Card. That’s because you can receive up to $200 in statement credits when buying an Oura Ring, thereby dropping the net cost to $49 + tax.

Note that this is an Amex Platinum benefit that you have to enroll in first, so be sure to enroll before buying one.

Also be aware that the Oura Ring has a subscription cost of $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year, so your net cost will be even higher if you’ll be keeping it for personal use rather than giving it as a gift or reselling it.

Better get rid of it before the company goes t*ts up.

Ivan

FYI! These are also HSA/FSA eligible. So you can get reimbursed for the $249 while triggering the credit.

C J

I just got the full &249 reimbursement from my FSA

What’s up FM?

Any DP on whether or not the credit can cover the annual fee?

Chad

No and the reason is obvious. Aura is desperate to get customers and show growth, so this Platinum card is a good way to do that without outright reducing the sticker price much. The hope is then to make it up in subscriptions.

What's up FM?

Thanks for the man-splain on the marketing goals. The question stands as there are a litany of credits etc that have had successful use outside of the original intent. And it’s Oura, obviously.

Zen

Did you actually try it? Or is it just “obvious”

Anthony

Will the price drop further next week?

Kadels

Best way to determine proper sizing?

Kadels

Very cool – thanks!

Joe Pepper

Head to Costco and there is a display for the oura 4 ring with the sizing rings there

Kadels

Perfect – I actually need to make a trip tomorrow!

Ken

… not even useful at $49, IMO….

Ivan

You can sell it on eBay and turn a profit so there is some use. I’m sure eBay will be flooded with Ouras soon tho

Dr. Know

Can this be stacked with the CLEAR+ discount on the Oura Ring (which I believe is in the $49 range)? That would be pretty sweet. Then it would be free, except for the subscription fee.

WhereTo2Next

Clicking through the lululemon link does not appear to reduce the price further.

Dr. Know

I saw an additional datapoint on Reddit that also indicates that neither the CLEAR+ nor the Lululemon paths provide any additional benefit.

Thank you…I had bought an Oura ring last week. Chatted with their customer service and baam…$102 credit.
