Quick Thoughts
In case you’re not familiar with Pepper, it’s an app that sells instant gift cards, but – despite my name – it’s not an app I have any involvement in. If you’re targeted for this Amex Offer, you’ll get $30 back as a statement credit when spending $75 on a gift card in the app which is a 40% discount – an excellent deal.
Pepper offers points/coins on purchases that can be redeemed on future purchases, so that makes the opportunity a little sweeter. If you’re lucky enough to find this offer on an Amex Business Gold card, it’ll also earn 4x Membership Rewards if it ends up being one of your top two spending categories for that billing period.
While I’m dubious about Pepper’s ability to remain solvent on an ongoing basis due to the ludicrously high rates they offer heavy hitters, this Amex Offer is a no-brainer as it’s not often you can save 40% on pretty much any gift card brand. That includes Amazon, Best Buy, Airbnb, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Target and many more. If you are targeted for this offer, I’d buy the $75 gift card ASAP as there’s no guarantee that the Pepper parade will continue through March 31 when this offer is due to expire.

It appears that the app shares details with Amex somehow. It won’t let me add different amex cards in order to take advantage of the offer on my +1, +2 cards. I even deleted the first card then tried to add the second amex card, but I keep getting an error popup.
Any known workaround? (other than having p2 create their own account)
wondering the same
Pepper app is forcing me to verify my ID and has twice rejected photos of my ID. This feels very scammy. Has everyone else also been required to verify ID?
Thanks!
Sweet deal as never used Pepper (used your code). Thanks for this and a $200 Amazon GC a win-win
Amex offer tracked successfully. How long should I expect to wait to receive the 20,000 new member bonus points? It’s been a couple days and no sign of it so far.
I can’t remember how long that takes. Just to check, did you spend at least $200 total, as that’s the minimum spend for that new member bonus.
same here, spent $75×4 which is over $200, but no sign of the new member bonus
Did you ever see anything for this? I also created my account, completed an order, and have not received anything for the $20 new user deal.
Update: I just received the new member bonus, so looks like it takes at least two weeks to process.
What category does it code in that would earn 4x for Amex Biz Gold?
I read elsewhere that it coded as Computer and did get 4x on the Amex Biz Gold or 1.5x on the ABP.
Unfortunately not targeted on P1 or P2’s cards. Great offer if you are. Was painless to do the $15 off $50 offers last year.
Thanks! Pepper wouldn’t accept my AMEX card when I inputted the 4-digit CVV number from the front of my AMEX card. When, instead, on a whim I tried the 3-digit code on the back of my card, that worked….
Would be chill if Amex purchases would actually go through on Pepper lol. What a disaster.
I can’t sign up because their app doesn’t recognize DC as a state. It autopopulates the address from a list (that includes DC as my state) but then it doesn’t fill in that field. I can’t manually fill it and can’t complete signup. This is one of (the most minor) of the many (much more significant) reasons DC needs to become a state.
I had the same problem and had to sign up with my parents’ address in Florida. I emailed them about the issue and am waiting for their response, but it’s not a good look for this company at all.
Thanks for the tip. That worked. I thought that because of Plaid I had to use my real address but apparently not.
I don’t know but the registration went through fine using my parents’ address outside of DC.
Interesting. Bought a $200 amazon gift card for $142 all in.
The charge is showing up as “Moocho” on Amex instead of Pepper. Will it still work?
Yes. Mine showed Moocho (which is the parent service/company that Pepper was spawned from), received credit.
Worked for me
is it one per AMEX card or one per AMEX account. I have no offers but my wife has the offer on 3 of her AMEX cards. Can she do it 3 times?
Once she loads the offer to one of her cards, it’ll almost certainly disappear from the others.
It would have been easier if you would have included the link to add your referral code.
I’ve just added links to the app in the Play Store and App Store; Pepper doesn’t seem to provide the ability to provide a direct referral link.
Have you considered changing your last name to Galore?
