It’s got a nice “$600” sign up bonus and the af is negated by the credit which wouldn’t be hard to use. Is it a great everyday spender? probably not.

Just an alternate idea for the One Key cash. As you mentioned, Expedia might not have the best rates on hotels, and you lose benefits, and so on. However, flights on Expedia should be the same as on the Delta website, etc. And I know what you are thinking–“but I prefer to book directly with the airline.” Yep, me too. At least with Delta, I took the One Key cash, booked a flight with it, and kept the reservation for a few days. Then I canceled the reservation, and received eCredit that I used for a subsequent reservation booked directly through Delta. Not straight forward or for beginners, but there can be some decent value there, if you know what you are doing.
