In what seems to be a near weekly occurrence nowadays, Rakuten is once again offering 10% cashback/10x Membership Rewards at a wide range of sites. Today’s latest rate increase is better than some others though as it includes travel sites like IHG and Best Western, as well as Dell which will be perfect timing for some seeing as the January-June Amex Business Platinum credits are about to expire.

Earning 10x when booking stays at IHG and Best Western is a great return, as is earning that same rate when booking activities via Viator, TripAdvisor and Expedia.
For the procrastinators among us, earning 10x at Dell will also come in handy. Amex Business Platinum cards get a twice annual Dell credit – $200 to spend from January 1-June 30 and $200 from July 1-December 31. With June 30 fast approaching, there’s not much time left to take advantage of the first half of the year’s credit, so it’s nice that there’s at least one more opportunity to earn 10x at the same time.
Although most of the increased rates are at 10x, some are even higher than that. American Eagle, TurboTax and 1-800 Contacts are all at 15x, while PetSmart is at a whopping 20x. Update: PetSmart has dropped down to 10x.
Rakuten doesn’t tend to disclose how long increased rates like this will last for. Sometimes it’s only for a day, while other times it’s longer. It’s therefore best to assume that these rates will only be valid for today and get your orders / reservations sorted out ASAP.

Any idea when xbox gift cards will be back on dell? Since Jan it seems they only showed up for a few days in April but mostly unavailable the last 6 months
There’s no way of knowing unfortunately – they come and go without any notice.
How does booking at IHG/Best Western work? If we click through and make a reservation that charges your credit card once you stay at the hotel, will you still receive 10x rakuten?
Yep. It’ll track your reservation once you’ve made it, but doesn’t pay out until after your stay.
