If you have a new (or not-so-new) personal Amex Platinum card and haven’t used your twice-annual Saks Fifth Avenue benefit yet, Rakuten is offering 16%/16x today.

16%/16x is an excellent rate for Saks Fifth Avenue which is the highest it’s been in the last 15 months. It’s only hit this level once before during that time which was on Rakuten last Thanksgiving.
This is therefore a great opportunity to use up the $50 Saks benefit on the personal Amex Platinum card for July-December if you’ve not used that yet. If your Platinum card is new, be aware that you have to enroll in the Saks benefit in order to receive the $50 statement credit. To do that, log in to your account and click the ‘Benefits’ tab. To avoid having to scroll through all the benefits, you can then click the ‘Enroll’ tab to filter the benefits which will make it a little easier to find the Saks Fifth Avenue benefit enrollment.
