Update from Nick 2/11/23: This deal is back again. Danny the Deal Guru reports that it is valid through 2/28/23. Remember that the new member who signs up must accumulate $10 in cash back in the first 365 days for both sides to get their bonus. I should also note that these bonuses seem to post really slowly. I have some referrals from December that show “confirmed” (meaning that the new member signing up earned $10 in cash back), but they aren’t yet payable. I did have this deal work when I referred my wife a long time ago, so I know that it can work, it just seems very slow going. This offer probably works best if you already have plans to buy something and Rebatesme is offering a competitive rate. While $30 is a good bonus for Rebatesme, we have sometimes seen it reach $40 or even $45 around the holidays.

If you know someone who does not yet use the shopping portal Rebatesme, both you and they can receive $30 when they sign up and earn at least $10 through the portal. That should be very easy to do as the referee is given a full year to earn the $10.

The Deal

  • Shopping portal Rebatesme is currently offering a referral bonus of $30 for both sides when you refer someone by February 28, 2023 and that person earns at least $10 in cash back within 365 days of signing up

If you’re not a Rebatesme Member and would like to use one of our referral links, you’ll find them below:

Key Terms

  • Until 2/28/23, when you refer a friend to sign up for RebatesMe, you will get a $30 referral bonus and your friend will get a $30 bonus.
  • For the bonus ($30/$30) to become available in your account, your friend must reach a minimum of $10 in available Cash Back. Your friend’s $30 referral bonus will be activated when the earned Cash Back totals $10 or above within 365 days of the join date.
  • Note: Orders of these merchants – Axos Bank, Apple China, Jabra, BBQGuy and gift card orders do not contribute to the activation of new user sign-up bonus and referral bonuses.

Quick Thoughts

I find myself using Rebatesme more and more often. It often bonuses spend at retailers that many of the other portals don’t and, over the last few months, it’s been offering some of the best cashback rates as well.

Here, the bonus is immediately added to your account when you sign up. Once the referee earns at least $10 in cash back, they get the $10 earned as well as the $30 referral bonus. Rebatesme allows cashing out through gift cards or PayPal cash (which is sent directly to your PayPal account).

Just make sure your referees sign up by February 28th. Once enrolled, they have a full 365 days to earn $10 in cash back through Rebatesme, a very generous time frame.

I personally find Rebatesme to be one of the more forgiving shopping portals when it comes to tracking gift card purchases, but it should be noted that GC purchases are listed in the t&c as not qualifying for the referral bonus.

My wife Erin and my first big journey together went around the world in 100 days for our honeymoon, a trip in which I had one car accident and got one speeding ticket in every country that we visited (I think that I may still have an arrest warrant in New Zealand for an unpaid ticket, but we’ll keep that between us). We currently live in one of the few corners of Washington State where you can still MS Staples Gift Cards at Safeway; we own a winery, ski after work and hike as much as our elderly knees will let us.
