Giftcards.com is out with another sale on Visa eGift cards. Originally, this sale was for 5% off, but it’s now increased to 6% off when buying $100 cards and using promo code EARLYJOY.

The Deal

  • Buy $100 Visa eGift cards from Giftcards.com & get 6% off when using promo code EARLYJOY.
  • Direct link to offer (our affiliate link).

Key Terms

  • Promo code EARLYJOY valid 11/6/2024 – 11/28/2024 for 6% off $100 Visa eGift Cards from Giftcards.com while supplies last.
  • Limit 3 cards per customer (maximum discount $18).
  • Excludes Visa Virtual Accounts, Giftcards.com Visa Gift Cards and Giftcards.com for Business orders.
  • Promo code EARLYJOY is a one-time use code and cannot be combined with other offers.

Quick Thoughts

$100 Visa eGift cards have a $5.95 purchase fee, so the $6 discount means you’ll make a profit of 5 cents. However, if your purchase tracks through a shopping portal and/or you have the Giftcards.com Citi Offer giving 4% back, this could be a profitable deal even before accounting for the value of the credit card rewards you’ll earn.

Here are the current shopping portal rates. Check Capital One Shopping and Capital One Offers too as they sometimes offer higher rates on one or more of those. Using a promo code could invalidate portal rewards unless the portal lists the promo code.

Does anyone know how to get a billing zip code for these cards? I can’t find a way to register the card to an address to assign a zip code.

Daniel

You have to call to register (1-833-889-7223)

It only let me buy one gift card with the discount code. C’est la vie.

I had $16 in rewards from the Gift of College sale + 2X Chase Freedom shopping portal + 5X Paypal Chase Freedom Flex Q4 bonus = Thanks, Stephen!

Even if the shopping portal doesn’t work, I’m still getting $100 for $83.95, for little/no effort, and 5X Chase pts

It worked for me when I added 1, then added 2 more, so there were 2 line items in the order.

Laces Out.....Dan!

NOT WORKING

Jason

Is there a way to use it multiple times?
You can buy 100 + 250 and it will trigger the code too

Given that multiple people on Flyertalk didn’t get portal credit when using the code, it seems that giftcards.com or Cartera might have stopped paying out when a coupon code is used that isn’t explicitly shown on the portal.

Chris

Code Not Valid. Remove the clickbait

TravelGeek

Worked fine for me about an hour ago. Perhaps you tried to purchase the wrong type of giftcards?

Katie

Any DPs on whether this tracks through the Southwest shopping portal? “EARLYJOY” isn’t one of the coupon codes listed in the portal, so wondering if using it would invalidate the purchase (in terms of getting their current 4,000 point bonus).

TravelGeek

No experience with the WN portal, but assuming it’s basically the same Cartera type portal as AA’s, it should work. While not guaranteed, previous offers like this have always posted for me and others.

Katie

Super, thanks!

TravelGeek

Well, I am glad I put the “while not guaranteed” disclaimer in there 🙁

While my regular giftcards.com purchase purchased just fine via the AA Shopping portal, a purchase of $100 giftcards with the $5 coupon code did NOT post so far even though it was made at the same time with the same browser etc. etc.

Bummer.

Katie

Boo.

The code you entered is not valid. Please double-check the code and its expiration date.” Doesn’t seem to be working yet.

Kay

YMMV and Not sure if this happened to other people but my Citi offer for gift cards.com dissappeared about a week ago from all 7 cards we had it saved on.

ZinCO

Same, even though the expiration dates were into December for some of them.

Dima

Same. I used the offer on one card and the credit already posted, but the offer dropped off from all the other ones :/
