AAA is offering a great deal on new memberships right now by halving the cost, waiving admission fees, offering a free associate membership in your first year of membership and giving an additional $10 discount if you enroll in auto-renewal. This might be a localized offer, so you’ll need to check for offers in your area.

Quick Thoughts

If you don’t have AAA membership yet, this can be a great offer. As you can see in the image above, the prices at the different membership levels are around the following price points:

• Classic – $38.50
• AAA Plus – $53
• AAA Premier – $72

This is a localized deal, so you’ll have to click through to AAA and enter your zip code to see if it’s available where you live. I entered the zip code where we used to live in Portsmouth, VA and these savings showed up for the AAA Tidewater region, but entering the zip code for our current “home” address in Green Cove Springs, FL shows regular pricing for the AAA Auto Club South region.

Those prices vary though because it looks like different areas charge different amounts for memberships. For example, Doctor of Credit listed the following prices:

• Classic – $36.50
• AAA Plus – $54.50
• AAA Premier – $73

We took out AAA membership a couple of years ago when there was a Groupon deal in our local area at the time that offered similar savings. I’ve since kept the membership because even though we haven’t had to use it for its auto benefits like free towing, it’s nice having the peace of mind of having that coverage, plus it’s helped save us money on hotels, museum admission fees, etc.
