Quick Thoughts
As is often the case with these Southwest sales, the promo code offers “up to” a certain amount off base fares, in this case 40%. That means that if you find eligible routes and dates for your travel, your discount might not be quite as high as that, but it’s worth checking to see if you can save any money on your flights with this SAVEWOW promo code.
I checked flights we have to and from Hawaii that aren’t during the blackout dates, but I had no luck. However, other routes – such as Norfolk, VA to Chicago, IL – are eligible.
As is always the case when Southwest offers promo codes that provide discounts on paid flights, the promo code also works on award flights to reduce the number of Rapid Rewards points you have to redeem.
Another great feature of these Southwest sales is that it’s valid not only on newly booked flights, but on any existing eligible travel that you already have booked. Be sure therefore to check any existing reservations you have that might become cheaper with this promotion.
In case anyone is wondering, Google Flights (which started showing Southwest flight prices a few months ago) reflects these reduced-price flights. I had an alert set for a flight that sent me an email with the new reduced price.
