Via Sears’ Weekly Member Deals page, many products are listed at 100% back in points. To see why you might be interested in this, please see: Roll gift cards into points for triple rewards. Note: Points do not roll.
Important Info
- Splender is currently offering 6% cash back for purchases at Sears. If you sign up for Splender with my link, you’ll earn a $5 bonus once you make a purchase of $50 or more, and I’ll earn $10. Please find additional portal signup links here.
- Points do not roll. This means that you can’t pay with points and get 100% back in points. You must pay with a credit card or gift card.
- You must be logged into your SYW account to see the 100% back offer.
- Caution 1: Items may sell out very quickly. So, buying gift cards in order to then buy these items is a bit of a gamble.
- Caution 2: Some people report not getting the points that they expect from these deals. Make sure to save screen captures showing the expected points. You can always email Sears support after the fact to request your missing points.
- SYW points cannot be used to buy gift cards. They can be used to buy products from Sears, Kmart, or Lands End.
- All of my recent portal tests with Sears have been successful. That is, buying gift cards, using gift cards, and using SYW points, after going through a portal, have all resulted in portal rewards despite terms stating otherwise.

Splender did not work on sears gift card reload as of 12/16/15.
Does Discover Deals still work for Gift Card redemption and SYW Point redemption? I checked you FM lab thing and there doesn’t seem to be any update on this for Discover Deals for at least a month now.
Either it’s not on my member page or it’s already sold out.
It’s not really a deal if you’re paying inflated prices for something just to get some points. (simple version.. )
This makes little difference unless the triple dip still works, which terms state it does not, but practice by some indicates that it does.
However, if the triple dip DOES work, and say a portal is paying 8x points at sears and you spend $1000, you get 8000 points for buying gift cards, 8000 points for using the gift cards to buy 100% SYW point items, and 8000 more points for using the SYW points to purchase regular items, going through the portal each time.
However, in most (but not all) cases the portal terms will state that only the purchase, not the use of gift cards or the use of SYW points will result in a portal payout, and it’s certainly possible that they will attempt to claw back the points at a later time even if it works. The stuff purchased to get the SYW points can be given away as gifts or liquidated for about 20% of their “value” as there’s usually a good reason Sears is trying to unload them with such a huge rebate.
So help me understand this. These 100% SYW points deals are essentially half-off. You pay, for example, $19.99 by credit card or Sears GCs (purchased at discount, of course) and get the item you buy, plus 1999 SYW points that can be used for future purchases of goods at Sears or Kmart. So you’re getting $39.98 worth of goods for $19.99 payment. The goods shown seem rather overpriced compared to amazon or eBay. And What am I missing?
Buying 100% back in points items make sense only if you will end up buying stuff at Sears/Kmart/Lands End anyway. Please see the post I referred to for full details: https://frequentmiler.com/2015/06/24/roll-gift-cards-into-points-for-triple-rewards/
