Shopping Portal Signup Bonuses

Shopping portals offer a great way to earn extra rewards when buying stuff online. Any time that you plan to make online purchases, including travel bookings, you can use tools like Savewise and CashBackMonitor to find the portals that offer the most significant rewards. Even better, if you’ve never used a particular portal before, you may be able to earn a signup bonus from the portal in addition to any rewards the portal normally offers for shopping. And, if you’re in two-player mode, you can sometimes double your signup bonus rewards by having one of you refer the other before the other shops online.

Rakuten: 5,000 points or $50

• The deal: Both the referrer and the refer-ee earn 5,000 points or $50 after the requirements are met.

Capital One Shopping: $60 (pseudo cash back)

• The deal: Both the referrer and the refer-ee earn $60 in pseudo cash back after the requirements are met.

  • Create an account and verify your email
  • The Refer-ee must install the Shopping extension within 7 days of creating a Shopping User Account using a referral link
  • The Refer-ee must then regularly use the Shopping extension and shop as they normally would, on their primary browser and with full permissions granted, for 90 days following the installation date.
• Portal notes:
  • Referral offers, for referrers, are targeted and vary from person to person
  • You do not need a Capital One card or bank account to use this portal.
  • Cash back isn’t really cash. It must be redeemed for gift cards.
  • The best portal offers are usually targeted via email and are often based on your browsing history. So, make sure to frequently browse stores and travel sites from the browser where you’ve installed the toolbar.

BeFrugal: $40 for referrer / $10 for refer-ee

• The deal: The referrer earns $40, and the refer-ee earns $10 after the requirements are met.
