Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Shopping and American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping are both running small shopping portal bonuses right now, thought the details and expiration dates differ.
Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping “Mystery Bonus”
Note that this is being marketed as a “mystery bonus”, so it is possible that you’ll have a different offer (let us know in the comments). My offer is:
- Spend $100, earn 300 bonus points
- Spend $300, earn 1,000 bonus points
- Direct link to this deal
Key Terms
- Valid March 4, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. ET through March 18, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET
- Keep in mind that these bonuses are based on cumulative spend during the shopping period but that taxes and shipping fees typically do not count toward the spending requirement. Also note that while the points you ordinarily earn through an individual retailer (such as 5 points per dollar spent) are Companion Pass qualifying, these portal-wide bonuses do not count as Companion Pass qualifying points.
American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping
- Spend $150, earn 500 bonus miles
- Direct link to this deal
Key Terms
- Valid 3/4/2024 through 3/11/2024 at 11:59:59 pm ET
- Keep in mind that these bonuses are based on cumulative spend during the shopping period but that taxes and shipping fees typically do not count toward the spending requirement. Also note that while the miles you ordinarily earn through an individual retailer (such as 5 miles per dollar spent) are also earned as Loyalty Points, these portal-wide bonuses do not count as Loyalty Points.
Bottom Line
These are relatively small bonuses, but they also have small spending thresholds. I always try to keep these in mind when comparing portal rates because they effectively add about 3 miles per dollar spent on top of the ordinary earn if you spend exactly at the bonus thresholds.
