Some Southwest cardholders are once again being targeted with an offer giving 3,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points when spending $1,000 by the end of March.

- To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must register between 02/1/2025 12:01 a.m. ET and 03/31/2025 11:59 p.m. ET (“Promotion Period”).
- Use your Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card to make at least $1,000 in purchases during the Promotion Period to earn 3,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points.
- So long as you register during the Promotion Period, eligible purchases made during the Promotion Period will retroactively count toward the required spend.
- The bonus points will count toward Companion Pass qualification but will not count toward A-List or A-List Preferred qualification.
- Please allow up to eight weeks after the end of the Promotion Period for the 3,000 bonus points to post to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account.
- “Purchases” do not include balance transfers, cash advances, traveler’s checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, racetrack wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable.
- Points transferred from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Southwest Rapid Rewards are not eligible for the bonus.
- Points and bonus points earned on a new Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card account opening are not eligible for the bonus.
- Only the Rapid Rewards Member who received this offer from Southwest Airlines is eligible for this promotion.
Quick Thoughts
Southwest ran a similar promo from November to January, so it’s great that it’s immediately made a return.
It’s a nice little offer if you’re targeted, especially if you’re planning on trying to earn a Southwest Companion Pass this year. That’s because the bonus Rapid Rewards points also count towards Companion Pass qualification, so spending $1,000 on the card should net you 4,000 qualifying points (1,000 from the base spend and 3,000 bonus points from this promotion).
Some Southwest cardholders have also been targeted with other spending offers – some for 2x Companion Pass-qualifying points on insurance payments and others for 5x on spend at grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants.

Does Southwest use the date of the spend or the monthly closing date when pointed are added to your rewards account. Thank you for your help!

Your link takes me to my account and says I get the deal once I register, but there is no ‘register now’ link.
If you don’t see a link to register and it doesn’t say ‘Registered’ in green, that presumably means you’re not targeted.

Which credit card? I have the personal as well as the business?
It was on my personal Premier card, but it could potentially be on business cards too.
Anyway to tell? I just clicked on the Register now link here on the blog and it took me to my SWA account.

I only got 30% bonus, though the max is a lot higher:

I also got the same offer as Buzz for insurance payments.
I got double companion pass points on insurance payments between now and the end of March.
