Quick Thoughts

Thanks to Win in the Frequent Miler Insiders group on Facebook for highlighting this offer. This will save you at least $58 per year on AAA membership renewal fees, so it has the potential to be a good deal if you have/want AAA coverage and are a Sprint customer.

A few things to be aware of with this offer:

1) Member-Only Pricing

This partnership will apparently give you a 10% discount on your Sprint service. That sounds good, but it’ll remove any other potential discounts (such as employer discounts) which might offer higher savings. Depending on the size of that discount and your monthly bill, registering for this AAA promo might cost you money.

2) For New Customers Only (Or Not)

One of the listed terms is that you have to register within 30 days of becoming a Sprint customer. Needless to say, that makes it sound like this promotion is only for new Sprint customers. However, this SlickDeals thread suggests that it’s open to existing customers too.

3) Renewals Only

The offer is only for AAA membership renewals, so you’ll have to pay the first year’s fees if you’re not already a AAA member.

4) Stack For 20,000+ American Airlines AAdvantage Miles?

This one may or may not work. The American Airlines portal has Sprint listed as a partner offering up to 25,000 miles (see Nick’s post from last year for more details about a very similar offer).

From what I can tell, you should be able to register for the American Airlines offer, get the initial 20,000 AAdvantage miles and subsequently register for the free AAA renewals. If anyone’s already done this and knows whether it works or not, let us know in the comments below.

This one is only for new customers though.

5) Use Ebates For Cashback

Rather than going the American Airlines route, Ebates is currently offering up to $187.50 for new Sprint customers.

Other Options?

I have multiple lines with Sprint, I get a total bill, can I use a discount for each line?
ex. I recieve cash back for 2 of my lines thru my credit union, and I want to renew my AAA with the line that I do not recieve the reward from.

Brenda

Why is Triple A sending me renewal bills when Sprint has already payed Feb 2 2019

Brenda English

Sprint has already payed for my AAA/Sprint deal FEb.2 why are you asking me to renew # is 620 065 341 550 9604

[…] Sprint customers get free AAA renewals. I keep AAA only for the hotel rates, which are usually lower than so-called ‘member rates’ (discounts for booking on a hotel’s website versus Expedia). […]

Anthony

I’m still on a SERO plan. Will this work?

Would also like to know if you can stack this with AA offer which gives 417 miles every month for as long as the account is open. Afraid to do this AAA offer only to have AA miles from accumulating.

Mike L

Ah that’s a good point, I don’t want to risk losing my 5,004 miles per year. As an FYI, if you’re looking to join AAA for the discounts, join AARP instead. The discounts are almost identical, you can join at any age and it’s only $12 per year.

Maria Elena Retana

You mean AAA and AARP’s discounts are almost identical? Because I am a sprint customer, I would only pay the first year with AAA the second year sprint covers it, that sounds like a good deal to me.
