Best Buy is currently offering 15% off on iTunes Gift Cards in several denominations for both physical and email delivery. If you have loaded the Current Amex Offer for $30 back on $300 at Best Buy, you could snag as much as about 23.5% off (or get an even better deal if you have the 3,000 points version of the offer and value points at more than 1 cent each). Doctor of Credit reports that orders might be getting cancelled — if that’s the case, keep in mind that Best Buy stores will usually match Best Buy online pricing, so you may be able to get it honored in-store on the physical cards.

Quick Thoughts

As noted at the top, Doctor of Credit reports orders getting cancelled, though some users at Slickdeals seem to have had success (though not all). In my experience, I’ve been able to get stores to match BestBuy.com prices in the past without issue, so you might try that if you are having trouble with online orders.

Don’t forget to use your Amex Offer either way if you have it loaded as it will work both online and in-store and is a great stack with this deal. To maximize, you could buy:

  • 3 x $100 gift cards ($85 each) for $255
  • 1 x $25 gift card for $21.25
  • 1 x $30 gift card pack for $25.50
  • Total = $301.75
  • Amex Offer -$30
  • Final total = $271.75 for $355 in iTunes Gift Cards (23.5% off)

Choosing store pickup and possibly not using Paypal seems to get around the cancellation issue.

Fuzzy math there. It is not 25%. Its 23.5%
