Update 5/26/20: This deal is back again. There is currently an Amex Offer good for 10% back at Staples that would stack for another $9 back, dropping net cost to $81 for a $100 gift card. That’s a great deal for Lowe’s. There is a max of 3 per person.
Update 7/22/19: This deal is back again. H/T: Points, Miles, and Martinis
Staples.com is offering a $100 Lowe’s Gift Card for $90. Since this 10% off can be stacked with earning 5x on a card like the Chase Ink Cash card, this is a nice opportunity to both score a discount at Lowe’s and rack up some Ultimate Rewards points.

Quick Thoughts
This will likely sell out quickly. Keep in mind that there are a couple of current Amex Offers out for Staples / office supply stores and some have been targeted for a Chase Offer. Alternatively, using a card that earns one of the best category bonuses at office supply stores would be a good way to rack up some nice rewards. If it does sell out, it’s worth checking back as they sometimes restock at some point.
Nick or anyone, pay for 3rd party gc with its own? or is the system hard-coded to prevent that? Thx
This link is taking me to a deal for a Lowe’s card at face value with no discount.
Dead then for now. These sometimes go in and out of stock during the week. Worth checking back in a day or two.
Will this stack with Amex $10 back on $40 offer?
It should, yes (I noted in the post that there are a couple of Amex offers out and also a Chase offer — I believe those will stack, though I’m not positive on the Chase offer).
By the time I receive your emails it is the next day. I received this newsletter on 7/24 Why?
It sounds like you’re subscribed to our daily newsletter. We offer several types of email subscriptions to allow readers to decide how much email they’d like to receive:
——–
Instant: Receive an email every time we post something on Frequent Miler. This option is best for those who want to know about limited-time deals like this one, as you’ll receive the notification right away.
Daily: Receive one email every day with that morning’s main analytical post and all of the posts from the previous 24 hours. This is best for those who want to know what’s going on each day, but aren’t concerned with catching every limited-time deal.
Weekly: Receive one email every week with summaries of the week’s main analytical posts, summaries of key reading selections from around the web, and the weekly last chance deals. This is best for those who want to limit the quantity of email received, but what to keep the pulse of the hobby and skim through summaries to decide which posts are most relevant to them.
——-
Again, we offer different options so you can choose what works best for you. The daily email is automated to include all of the posts from the previous 24 hours and some of the best deals will inherently expire in the interim (some of the very best deals expire within hours of posting) while others will be ongoing (like a a Staples or supermarket Visa gift card deal that’s good for a week or a transfer bonus or quarterly promo that may be good for a few months). We try to be clear within the title and/or first sentence when we know a post is expiring the same day it is posted so that daily subscribers will know quickly if a deal was scheduled to have ended the day it was posted (though of course sometimes, like in this case, we wouldn’t know when it would die).
If you’re interested in changing your subscription settings, you can easily unsubscribe from your current selection via the link at the bottom of that email and then re-subscribe to the list you want via the “Subscribe” button at the top of any Frequent Miler page or here:

I’ve placed an order for 5 cards that day after not receiving anything I just checked and order has been canceled. On the chat trying to find out why but not hopeful that they will honor the deal. Wonder if anyone else has such experience?
