staples visa gift card deal

Staples is currently running a promotion offering a $15 Visa gift card via rebate with the purchase of $300 or more in Visa gift cards.

The Deal

Buy $300 or more of Visa® Gift Cards get a $15 Visa Prepaid Card via easy rebate.

Maximizing

Generally with these deals it is best to use a Chase Ink card to earn 5X Ultimate Rewards points or an Amex SimplyCash card to earn 5% cash back at Staples.

The Rebate

The rebate is done completely online and the prepaid Visa rebate card is generally PIN-enabled with the PIN being the last four digits of the card number. There have been some reports lately of the PIN not working any longer, so YMMV.

Key Terms

  • Deal valid from 06-19-2016 through 06-25-2016
  • In-store only.
  • Limit 1 rebate per name/address/household.

Unlike past deals, this rebate isn’t advertised in their weekly ad, however the rebate form and all relevant terms can be found on the Staples Easy Rebate website by searching for the keyword “Visa”. The rebate number is 16-77541.

Another Staples told me there is a new policy & they are no longer allowing credit cards to be used to buy gift cards. Got the same responses 2-3 weeks ago at another Staples close by (Centeal Coast of California)
Maybe these deals using Ink & other cards are just about gone???

this must be local… we don’t see many reports on this. most stores just ask to match your ID to your credit card.

ask for a manager and if it doesn’t help call corporate and ask them to contact the store.

Tom

Uh oh. It has been $20 for years, now only $15. Not headed in the right direction…
