This week’s T-Mobile Tuesdays is offering a few items that may be appealing to readers: cheap meal delivery via EveryPlate (my favorite of the delivery services I’ve tried), 10 free 4×6 and 2 free 5×7 prints (with free shipping – great for printing some travel photos), and a $20 Dining Advantage coupon in addition to the weekly 10c/gal Shell Fuel Rewards discount.
The Deals
Quick Thoughts
This week’s deals look pretty good to me.
I’ve tried a number of meal delivery services (like Hello Fresh, Sunbaskets, Blue Apron, etc) and thus far EveryPlate has been my favorite. EveryPlate is owned by Hello Fresh and is sort of billed as it’s value-priced alternative. The meals tend to be a little simpler and the ingredients are all thrown in one box rather than pre-separated by meal. The meals aren’t great, but out of the dozens of EveryPlate meals we’ve had, I think there has only been one that I actively disliked (which is a lower ratio than with any of the other delivery services we’ve tried). Nothing has wowed us, but we’ve made several of the dishes again. Don’t expect The French Laundry for $2.49 per meal and you should probably be satisfied (but your tastebuds may vary). Recently (i.e. in the past 2 weeks) we’ve had a couple of issues with missing ingredients and one box that wasn’t packed well and led to a sour cream explosion. They have credited us back consistently for missing ingredients, but of course the point behind buying these boxes is for the convenience of having everything you need without taking time to go to the store. We hadn’t had that problem until recently, so hopefully it was temporary.
“Free” prints feel somewhat ubiquitous these days with Walgreens often offering something for free with store pick up and/or websites offering a quantity of free prints for new customers — though the deal here via the Free Prints app is also getting free shipping. I’ll be in for at lest a couple of free 5×7’s from travel photos I’ve meant to print.
The $20 Dining Advantage coupon isn’t worth nearly $20, but it may nonetheless give you a useful coupon. If you’re an entertainment book subscriber / holder, this deal likely won’t interest you since you probably already have the same coupons in your book. YMMV. Basically, you get $20 in credit to pay face-value for coupons. For example, a pizzeria in my area was offering a complimentary menu item with the purchase of a menu item up to a max savings of $5. I could use $5 of my $20 in funny-money to buy that coupon.
Keep in mind that you can sign up for the T-Mobile Tuesdays deals with each line on your plan. In the past, I was even able to sign up with the line assigned to a prepaid hotspot by loading the app on a tablet and then logging into the hotspot in my browser to get the SMS message to verify the number. This may be useful for folks who recently added a free line.
Thanks…I’m gonna try EveryPlate for 3 weeks. Swagbucks is giving $10 for sign-ups. Not sure if it’ll work, but I clicked through the link in my T-Mobile Tuesdays app to grab the discount code which also worked when I plugged it in on the sign-up page on my PC. For others interested, note that EP charges $9 shipping each week and upcharges quite a bit for their “better” meals like steak and seafood. I still found some decent looking options for 3 weeks.
