For a limited time, Groupon has a targeted offer for a $10 Starbucks eGift card for $5. This offer didn’t work on any of the accounts in my family, but it may work with a new account.

Quick thoughts

I’ll take five bucks in free Starbucks money any day of the week as I know I’ll put it to use. With the Starbucks app, I can load the gift card directly to the app and not have to fiddle around with keeping track of it. All that said, this deal is highly targeted — you should have received an email if you were targeted. Still, with the barrage of emails Groupon sends out, it can be easy to miss a good targeted offer like this. As noted above, you may be able to successfully purchase if you create a new account — I did not try this and can’t confirm.

Same here. Worked on one of my three Groupon accounts. Never got an e-mail.

Jonathan

It worked for me.. Not new member.. I wasnt target either. Just tried it

Geoff

Wasn’t targeted but simply logging into Groupon allowed me to purchase. Thanks for the reminder.

David

It only pisses of non-targeted customers due to posts like this. I think people need to think twice before posting about very narrowly targeted offers when those targeted will hear about it other ways.

I wonder what goal Groupon has in mind with these promotions other than pissing off their current customers who haven’t been targeted.
