Targeted easy 300 American Airlines miles with 1 click

American Airlines AAdvantage is offering some members a really easy/free 300 miles for opting in to in-app push notifications. All I had to do to earn 300 miles was click a button in my American Airlines app.

• Register to automatically opt in to American app push notifications and earn 300 AAdvantage bonus miles

• You’ll be opted in to push notificaittons on any devices you use to login to the American Airlines app
• Bonus miles will be deposited in your account within 6-8 weeks after registration period is over
• All miles awarded in connection with this promotion will be defined as bonus miles. Bonus miles do not count toward status qualification or AAdvantage Million Miler status

Quick Thoughts

This promo literally only took me a few seconds to earn. All I did was open my American Airlines app, click on the “AAdvantage” menu item at the bottom, then the “Promotions” tab. The second or third promotion was for a free 300 miles.

I clicked through for registration details and then agreed to receive push notifications on the devices I use to access the American Airlines app. That was it — easy peasy.

Note that the terms state that the bonus miles will post 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion, and these bonus miles are redeemable-only. They are not expected to count as Loyalty Points.

While 300 miles aren’t worth all that much (only about $4), it should be enough to make sure there is activity in your account, and maybe it’ll help some people reach the number necessary for a future redemption.
