Quick Thoughts
This appears to be a targeted offer because my wife received an email about and I didn’t. However, there’s no wording in the terms suggesting that it’s a targeted offer and the landing page has a generic URL without anything suggesting it’s linked to a customer number or her email address, so it might be that anyone can sign up for this offer. If you do, be sure to make sure your Grubhub and AMC+ email addresses match.
This offer is an easy way to get $20 of free food from Grubhub because you’ll be taking out a free 7 day trial of AMC+ which is their new streaming service. That means this offer won’t cost you anything on the AMC+ side provided you cancel the trial within 7 days.
The offer dates are a little confusing though. It says that you have to sign up for AMC+ by October 5 and that the Perk will be sent within 5 business days. However, it goes on to say that the Perk expires on October 5, so if you sign up on October 5 it’s not clear if the Perk will be valid 5 business days after that date or if it’ll expire that evening. I’d therefore sign up sooner rather than later just in case the Perk does expire on October 5 regardless of when you sign up.
If you find that you enjoy AMC+ and want to keep it around beyond its 7 day free trial, be aware that there’s a new Amex Offer out today giving $4 back when spending $8.99+ on AMC+ which can be used to up to three times by January 6.
