Quick Thoughts

These Marriott Amex Offers provide some great opportunities to save, particularly the $375/$150 version as that represents 40% savings if spending exactly $375.

Note that the offers are only valid for stays at properties in the U.S. and U.S. territories, the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico. It’s valid on room rates for paid stays; taxes/fees on the stays will also count towards the spending threshold. Even if you’re booking an award stay, you can also trigger the Amex Offer statement credit for charges to your room for things like meals, spa treatments, parking, pet fees, etc.

You should also be able to lock in the value by buying a physical gift card from the front desk of a Marriott property. The bigger struggle will be finding a property that not only has physical gift cards, but a front desk employee who knows how to sell them. The terms exclude gift card purchases, but that’s because online gift card purchases aren’t processed by Marriott, so those don’t trigger the Amex Offer.

If you’ll be booking a paid stay, you can earn 2,500 bonus points per stay plus an additional elite night credit per brand courtesy of this promotion. Paid stays can also earn additional rewards if you click through to Marriott from a shopping portal.
