There are a couple of very good targeted credit card offers that have been reported over the past day or two:
Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus credit card
Many people on reddit have reported targeted email offers for the Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus credit card. There seem to be a few different offers:
- 50,000 bonus points + $100 Southwest Gift card
- 50,000 bonus points + $100 statement credit
- 60,000 bonus points
All three offers require $2,000 in spend in the first 3 months (the gift card / statement credit are on first purchase). The $69 annual fee is not waived with any of these three offers. They appear to be targeted and non-transferable email links. This card has been subject to 5/24 and we have no data points suggesting that the targeted offer bypasses the rule. If you have opened 5 or more personal accounts in the past 24 months, you are not likely to be approved.

American Express Platinum Upgrade offers [Expired]
Premier Rewards Gold to The Platinum Card
- 60,000 points for $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months
- $550 annual fee (typically prorated depending on where you are in your card member year)
Business Gold Rewards to The Enhanced Business Platinum [Expired]
75,000 total points: 50,000 points after $10,000 in purchases and 25,000 more points after additional $10,000 in purchases in the first 5 months ($20,000 total spend required for 75,000 bonus points)First-time upgrades only
Both of these upgrade offers are good, particularly if you have previously held the Platinum/Business Platinum card before and are therefore excluded from typical signup bonus offers. Always read the terms of your offer, but upgrade offers typically state that the upgrade bonus is available to those who have not received an upgrade offer for this card before (whereas new signup bonuses typically exclude those who “have or have had this product before”). Last fall, I received an upgrade offer on my Business Gold Rewards card. I had previously opened a Business Platinum card, but I still received the upgrade bonus as I had not upgraded to the Business Platinum before. Again, check the terms of your offer, YMMV. There are sometimes better signup offers for opening a new account, so I would hold out for one of those if I had never had the target card. On the other hand, these offers are good for upgrades.

What’s the move if you currently have the business platinum and the gold, and the upgrade offer on the gold card? Cancel the platinum and then take the upgrade offer?
I didn’t cancel my Platinum — I just took the upgrade offer. It worked — got the upgrade bonus. I’d take the upgrade offer before cancelling just to make sure it doesn’t disappear / glitch out on you in some way. Then cancel or downgrade Platinum #1.
Excellent, I was wondering if that would work…I’ll give it a shot, thanks.
Dominick: Why would you do that!?
You may consider downgrading the Gold Business to a card with no annual fee and apply to the Business Platinum to collect the bonus points.
What if I have the gold business card and I update to platinum business and then a year from now I cancel it…will I never be able to get the bonus for applying for a new business platinum?
