The United shopping portal is currently offering 500 bonus MileagePlus miles when spending $150 or more. A nice thing about this portal is that you have options beyond just online shopping to hit that spending requirement.

- During the “Fall Bonus” offer, which runs from 10/1/2023 through 10/8/2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of 500 MileagePlus bonus award miles on qualifying purchases made through the MileagePlus Shopping mall or from purchases made through MileagePlus Shopping in-store offers.
- This one-time bonus award will be based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of $150 or more.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

Quick Thoughts
500 miles isn’t a huge bonus for spending $150, but it still works out as 3.33 bonus miles if spending exactly $150.
A useful feature of the United shopping portal is that it has an in-store card-linked offer program. Those in-store purchases also count towards the $150 spending requirement, so you don’t necessarily need to conduct any online shopping activity in order to earn the bonus miles from this promotion.
As always, compare the rates available on the United portal to rates available on other shopping portals using Cashback Monitor because even with the bonus miles, this might not be the best return available to you depending on which retailers you’ll be buying from.
