American Express has released a new targeted Amex Offer for Walmart.com. As of now this offer is only available on the American Express website and seems to be highly targeted. I was able to find it on two of my wife’s cards, however it wasn’t on any of mine.
The Offer
Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $35+ in one or more transactions online at Walmart.com by 12/31/2015.

- Valid online only.
- If you order an item during the offer period but it is not sent until after 12/31/2015, it may not count towards determining whether the purchase qualifies for the offer.
- Excludes phone orders.
- Excludes corporate gift card purchases.

Big mistake on my part. Used this offer (one one card only) to actually BUY some stuff from Walmart.com that I was shopping for. OMG! Slow shipping, lousy communication from them and the quality of the merchandise was NOT like as described as well. I would have been happier with pending full price elsewhere. I will never buy anything that is an actual thing from them again. Learned my lesson on this kind of thing. GCs ONLY!

If I’m interpreting the exclusions list correctly, “Corporate Gift Cards” are excluded, and “Gift Card RELOADS” are excluded, but regular Walmart Gift Cards would qualify?
Normally I would just try it out myself but only my parents’ 2 cards had the offer and they’re pretty risk-averse, so I hold off until I know something is pretty much a sure thing.
I got the offer and I’m curious, too. I want a Starbucks gift card. Do I need to buy a Wal-Mart gift card first and then get the Starbucks with that? Thank you.
