Wyndham Rewards announced a new partnership with Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts last week. This gives the opportunity to book even more all-inclusive hotels using Wyndham points.
The full list of properties is as follows:
- Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay, Ramada All-Inclusive – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos, Ramada All-Inclusive Resort – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Decameron La Marina Guayabitos, Ramada All-Inclusive Resort – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Decameron Isla Coral Guayabitos, Ramada All-Inclusive Resort – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Grand Decameron Complex Bucerías, A Trademark All-Inclusive – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach, A Trademark All-Inclusive – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Grand Decameron Montego Beach, A Trademark All-Inclusive – 15,000 points per night for two guests
- Grand Decameron Panama, A Trademark All-Inclusive Resort – 30,000 points per night for two guests
- Grand Decameron Los Cabos, A Trademark All-Inclusive Resort – 30,000 points per night for two guests
Being able to book all-inclusives for 15,000 or 30,000 Wyndham points per night has the potential to offer solid value for your points, if not great value depending on the cash costs for your travel dates. If you have a Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus or Business card, you’ll also get a 10% discount when booking award nights, so the redemption costs will reduce to 13,500 and 27,000 points respectively. If you have a Wyndham business card, that means you’d only need to spend $1,687.50 at gas stations to earn a free night as that card earns 8x in that category.
When checking online reviews for some of these properties, they had very good reviews overall, so that’ll hopefully mean that you’ll have a pleasant stay too. Depending on the property, it might be possible to book an upgraded room with points too, although you might need to catch the website in a good mood. When taking a look at the Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay, Ramada All Inclusive in Jamaica, I saw Ocean Front Cottages bookable for 15,000 points per night initially. However, when going back to take a screenshot of that later on for this post, I could only find Courtyard rooms available on the dates I searched.
Is any of these Wyndham All-Inclusives any good? How do they compare against the Hyatt brands? Which are the best ones? Which provide the best value?
I’ve never stayed in AIs, but I understand that for those in Points and miles, Hyatt offers one of the best ones. I’d be interested in reviews for Wyndham especially considering they don’t have Peak / Off-Peak rates.
None of these AIs look very good, tbh.
I looked at the Bucerias AI over Thanksgiving since we will be down there at the Hyatt AI but had 3 more nights to fill. It was 15K for 2 adults and 2 kids (under 18) so they do not charge extra for kids. Also I toggled over to $ price and it was $1850 for 3 nights (annoying that their cash price is not inclusive of taxes and fees like Hyatt). When I toggled back to using points they offered a 10% discount. So I ended up booking 3 nights over a holiday week for 4 people for 40,500 points.
Did you confirm with the hotel? My experience with Wyndham Alltra Cancun – there was a small pop text box at booking time citing that 30K point booking was for 2 adults and extra charges may be added. When I called the hotel they would charge $100 per night.
I didn’t confirm. Good point. Worth a call to do that. Thanks for
The data point
is there a list of Wyndham network hotels that give you the best redemption value for the 15k or 30k points? Sort of like there’s list for highest end Hilton hotels bookable with free certificates for standard rooms.
aren’t ramada all inclusive pretty bad, like Holiday Inn all inclusive properties?
Yes, when I looked the trip adviser reviews for Jamaica weren’t good.
Oh nice.
Working on 100k sub on WBE, got first 50k already. Caribbean here I come
