Airline shopping portals run by Cartera (United, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Southwest and American Airlines) tend to run promotions each month offering bonus miles when hitting certain spending thresholds.
There are other travel shopping portals out there run by other companies. One of those portals is the Wyndham Rewards portal and that’s just launched a new promotion giving the opportunity to earn up to 4,000 bonus points on purchases through the end of January.

- An Offer Qualifying Purchase made by a Member who has not previously made a purchase on the Shopping Site while signed into their Wyndham Rewards account will qualify for a Bonus of 1,500 points (“First-Time Purchase Bonus”); all other Offer Qualifying Purchases will qualify for a Bonus of 750 points, up to a maximum of 4,000 Bonus points. For clarity, there is a limit of one First-Time Purchase Bonus per eligible Member and a limit of 4,000 Wyndham Rewards Bonus points in total per Member pursuant to this Bonus Points Offer.
- Bonus(es) will be posted to Member account within 45 days following the completion of applicable Offer Qualifying Purchase. All purchases are subject to the retailer’s terms and conditions. Any purchase that is returned or exchanged does not count as an Offer Qualifying Purchase, and Wyndham Rewards reserves the right to remove any Bonus awarded in connection therewith from the account(s) of the applicable Member(s). For clarity, any purchase that is completed before or after the Promotion Period (as defined above), will not be counted towards the Bonus Points Offer. Quick Thoughts
If you’ve never made a purchase through the Wyndham shopping portal, earning 1,500 bonus points for your first purchase – provided it happens by the end of January – is an excellent return, especially seeing as there doesn’t appear to be a minimum purchase amount. You could therefore presumably buy a $10 gift card from Giftcards.com in order to earn those 1,500 bonus points on top of the purchase’s regular earnings through the portal.
If you have made a purchase through the portal before – or for subsequent purchases after your first purchase during this promo period – you’ll earn 750 bonus points. There’s a limit of 4,000 bonus points overall, so a new customer who earns 1,500 bonus points initially will max out the promo after a total of four purchases. For an existing user who’s only eligible for 750 bonus points per purchase, you’d max it out after a total of six purchases through the portal.
