Citi Offers is out with a card-linked offer for 1.5% back at GiftCards.com. The terms ironically say it is valid in-store only and not valid on gift cards, but I expect this will work just fine for buying gift cards online at GiftCards.com.

Quick Thoughts
Rakuten and some other portals are currently offering 2x which I believe should stack with this once you have linked it to your card. That would potentially make for a pretty good deal, but keep in mind that GiftCards.com only allows portal rewards for up to $2,000 in purchases per month. I don’t see a similar limit here, but YMMV.

Where do you find these citi offers exactly? The only offers I ever see are to open checking accounts or to upgrade my card.

PSA to check your Citi Offers. I have generally put them in the same category as Chase versus AMEX but they have some really solid ones out right now. Just used $10 off $20 at BP using their BPme app. Not the save max $2 Chase junk…
Didn’t work for me either, full terms say gift cards are not eligible, but think that’s just a copy/paste error. Order processed directly, but not sure if they code differently for visa or other gift card purchases.
Doesn’t work. I’ve tried 2x. Nada. Called and they did nothing
the offer doesn’t work. i’ve had to chat with a rep several times explaining that it’s not possible to do this in store as there are no physical locations. I finally was able to get one to do a manual credit.
