Quick Thoughts

There are three brands that can be purchased at a discount using the WEDDING10 promo code, but only one of them is worth buying at 10% off: Airbnb.

While the 10% discount on Airbnb bookings is undoubtedly a good deal, it’s worth noting that paying for stays with gift cards might mean forgoing credit card travel protections. Paying for most of a booking with a gift card and the balance with a credit card could provide travel protections on the full amount, depending on which card you pay with.

Can I ask what credit card you’ll get full reimbursement through CC travel insurance even if you partially pay with it?

Maverikbc

Can it be used for bookings in other currencies and countries? When we can’t pay in full with GC, can we combine with credit cards?

John

My airbnb pricing on international stays is displayed in USD (not sure if this is default or I set it to that), and I have had no problem using my GCs

It seems like US gift cards added to US based account can be redeemed internationally. However, my account is a foreign account, it seems quite risky.

It seems like airbnb charges around 3% for currency conversion, and it’s baked in /hidden. We used to be able to change the currency, but this website says it’s no longer possible. In Brazil half a year ago, it was the cheapest to pay in local currency, but it required a Brazilian tax payer number, so I couldn’t and I couldn’t try paying with a non Brazilian credit card.
