Kroger.com is offering $5 off of $50 on select Happy Gift Cards with promo code JUSTBECAUSE. In some cases, this stacks with the current offer to earn 4x fuel points on select Happy cards. Since there is free shipping included, it’s worth checking these out (especially) if you can also use the fuel points.

Quick Thoughts
In my mind, the standout deals here remain Happy Guy or Happy Lady. Both are valid in places where you may be able to buy other 3rd party gift cards. Happy Guy is also valid at Dell, which may appeal to some. If you’re able to also use the fuel, this looks like a solid deal.
Be sure to use a card that earns one of the best category bonuses at US Supermarkets to maximize rewards for your purchase.

This is dead. Not working on happy guy or happy lady.
Promotion code JUSTBECAUSE says “Promotion code is not available for this deal” (tried $50 GC for
Happy Local Eats West Gift Cards)
Yeah, unfortunately, that’s not one of the ones listed in this post.
Hi nick, the “Happy Local Eats West Gift Card (valid at Buffalo Wild Wings, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Sweet Tomatoes, Souplantation, Claim Jumper or Baja Fresh)” is listed in the post.
Wow. You’re absolutely right. I’m currently in French Polynesia and have only had one cup of coffee today. I just made my second cup of coffee in response to this and updated the post. When you commented, my eyes must have stopped at “Happy Eats” and not gotten that far down the list. My apologies. Perhaps that one sold out early.
Any datapoints on whether it will work on 3rd party giftcards at BBB? I tried this weekend and it did not. I’m going to try again but only this time purchasing non giftcards. I’m wondering whether it’s been coded to block gift card purchases.
When you say it didn’t work, what happened? I’ve done this many times in the past, but it’s been a while since the last time.
I had a nice cashier, I was able to swipe it 3 times. Can’t remember the exact message but essentially it was declined. It can think of a couple of things, 1) the magnetic strip was deactivated, 2) somehow POS disallowed purchase of gift card or 3) purchase was greater than the gift card amount. I called the 800 number and there is a balance on the card of $206.95. It was a happy her gift card (I think this is one of the newer ones). This wouldn’t be the 1st time the strip was demagnetized on me. A few weeks back I was able to call the 800 number and they sent a check.
Nice. I also had one with a faulty magnetic strip at some point. That could be it as I haven’t heard anything about registers being hard-coded, though Happy did modify the terms to essentially say that they can’t be used for 3rd party GCs, so it’s not impossible that it’ll be hard-coded at some point.
What did you end up doing with the card with the faulty magnetic strip? I sure hope it’s due to the strip. If so this will be the 3rd card with the faulty strip.
My 4x fuel points coupon says, “offer not valid on online purchase.”
