Through 10pm central time on October 26th, Neiman Marcus is offering $100 off $400 or more (or $50 off $200 or more) on select regular-priced items (note that there are many exclusions) with coupon code SAVENOW. Both United and American airlines are offering increased payouts via their shopping portals today (8x United or 6x American PLUS an extra 1,000 on $250 or more). Another good option would be the Chase shopping portal, which is offering 5x — if you have a Freedom Card, you could stack the 4th quarter department store bonus (5x on up to $1500 in purchases) for 10x Ultimate Rewards total with the bonus.
The Deal
- Take $50 off $200 or $100 off $400 or more with promo code SAVENOW
- Earn increased mileage payouts via United (8x) or American (6x) or double dip Ultimate Rewards shopping portal with Freedom 4th quarter bonus
- American is additionally offering a bonus 1,000 miles on $250 or more at Neiman Marcus through 10/29 (click here for promotion details)
Quick Thoughts
Qualifying items are labeled with the coupon code at the top of the product page, and in search results you will see “Up to $100 off” written in pink below eligible items:
A sale like this can be interesting at Neiman Marcus because they sell a number of things at exact-dollar prices rather than figures ending in 99.99, eliminating the need to buy a cheap filler to get over the spending threshold. Take these headphones for example:
If you were looking for something like that, the coupon could be applied on a single item and also earn some increased miles. That particular pair of headphones doesn’t get great reviews on Amazon — it’s just an example for illustration purposes.
The coupons is fairly restrictive this time around, but combined with increased payouts, this one might be worth a look – especially if you can stack the Freedom’s 5x fourth quarter bonus with the Ultimate Rewards portal payout, which I think is the best deal of the bunch.
Great find, thank you. One clarification – can’t one stack the Freedom Q4 bonus with any portal (eg American), rather than what the article specifies as specifically with the Chase portal?
Absolutely.
And the rationalization begins.
