Update: If you were targeted for this offer, the end date might have been pushed further into the future, giving you more time to use it.

Check your Chase Offers or Bank of America offers as some are reporting having received an offer good for 15% back at domestic Hyatt properties until 4/30/19 up to a maximum of $38 back. That’s a nice deal if you have it.

The Deal

  • Get 15% back at Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Andaz, Hyatt Centric and Park Hyatt (up to $38 back) with a new Chase Offer (which may also appear on Bank of America cards or some other banks with special offers).

Key Details

  • Offer expires 4/30/19
  • Offer valid one time only
  • Only valid at “domestic” Hyatt properties, which I take to mean “within the United States”.

Quick Thoughts

Keep in mind that this offers says it is valid at domestic hotels, which presumably means those within the United States. I initially got excited when I saw this offer reported because I have some upcoming Hyatt stays, but they will not be within the US (which makes me feel slightly less jealous about not being targeted). It also notes the various Hyatt brand names, so I guess that means it will not work with SLH hotels or Thompson hotels.

Since the cap is $38, that means you will get 15% back on up to $253.33. Stack that with the current Hyatt promo to get 1,000 points back per night (and an additional bonus of 500 per night at Hyatt Place / House properties) for a solid return on Hyatt stays. Stack it with the bizarro mattress runs to Hyatt Globalist status to make them a bit more attractive.

Also note that the offer is valid one time only. That’s been my experience with some other Chase offers that I expected would work on multiple purchases and didn’t (they only worked on my first purchase). So if you’ve got more than one Hyatt stay planned, don’t click this offer in your Chase app before the stay where you’d like to use it (as tapping the offer in the app adds it to your card).

I had the Marriott Chase Offer back in February with the same U.S.-only language, but ended up getting credit on a stay in Panama. YMMV but my guess is the fact that I was charged in dollars down there bypassed the “domestic” check
