TopCashBack is currently offering 15% back on HP Consumer products. Alternatively, the British Airways Shopping Portal is offering 10 Avios per dollar — though it’s worth noting that with the various airline shopping portal bonuses noted in this morning’s Last Chance Deals, you might be able to get nearly that many miles per dollar spent through several airline programs. These offers are well-timed as there is also a targeted current Amex Offer available on  some cards for $50 back on $250. Additionally, HP is running back-to-school offers at the moment and there are a variety of ways to save.

The Deal

  • TopCashBack is currently offering 15% cash back on HP Consumer purchases or 10% back on HP Business purchases (8/11/19 only)
  • This stacks with a targeted Amex Offer good for $50 back on $250 and other discount opportunities
  • If you’re new to TopCashBack, consider signing up via our link with our thanks.

Key Details

  • Bulk orders above $10,000 are not eligible for commission
  • If you use a promotional/coupon code not posted and approved by TopCashback your cashback may be declined or go untracked
  • This merchant does not offer cash back on the purchase or redemption of Gift Cards. Furthermore, all printers, ink & toner, printheads & paper will no longer be eligible for cash back.
  • Only purchases made on HP.com’s US site are eligible for cash back.
  • Transactions may initially track lower at 2% then if validated should uplift to the correct amount.
  • Cash back amounts are generally based on your final purchase amount and does not include taxes, shipping and the actual discount amount saved through coupons.
  • Note that the cash back rate for HP Business transactions is different

Quick Thoughts

These are very strong payouts for HP; a look at the best rate history via Cash Back Monitor shows that the payout did hit 20% at one point in the past 15 months, but 15% is otherwise as good as it gets for cash back. The British Airways portal is offering 10 Avios per dollar. American Airlines is offering 5 miles per dollar, but if you stack it with the current portal offer, that could be as much as 9 miles per dollar total. Similarly strong payouts are available with portal bonuses from the other major airlines as well.

As noted at the top, this is also timed well to coincide with back to school shopping deals. Code BTSSTACK5 takes 5% off many orders — though note that I don’t see that code on TopCashBack, so using it may invalidate your cash back. YMMV.

I don’t see any restriction on the TopCashBack site barring cash back if you’re a member of the employee purchase program. So if you have access to employee discounts, I think you could stack that with 15% cash back from TopCashBack (and it may work out better than the 5% discount anyway).

Personally, I’m shopping for a new laptop. I dropped mine a long time ago and a bend in the case is becoming more and more of a problem. I actually like HP computers, so I’ve been struggling all week with whether to get a machine that appeals to me a bit more from HP or score a huge discount at Dell thanks to stacking the new Dell customer email coupon, Business Platinum benefit, a targeted Dell Amex Offer good for 10% back, and a number of laptops that come with $100-$200 Visa Gift Cards (issued by MetaBank for those curious). The jury is still out, but I’m glad to see some good opportunities to save on a new computer at a time when I need one.
