Quick Thoughts
These Masterpass Wyndham Rewards promos are an excellent deal because Wyndham has a simplified award chart where all properties cost just 15,000 points per night — meaning that two stays through this promotion gets you a free stay in a standard room at any Wyndham property in the world. There are lots of very cheap Wyndham Rewards properties where you can pick up a night for $50-$60 and some where you could find a night for under $30. Just watch out for the clause noted under “Key Terms” above — Wyndham enforces a minimum total rate of at least $25 before taxes or fees in order to qualify for points or promotions.
Two cheap one-night stays could get you a much more valuable stay in a city like New York or even an all-inclusive in the Caribbean.
I doubt they’ll ever run a promotion like this one again, but I wouldn’t mind having a few Wyndham Rewards points around if they ever do.
[…] miles for an award ticket. It certainly might make sense, though I’d first look to do the Wyndham Masterpass promotion as that seems more lucrative to […]
I did the two nights 15K points that ended July 1. My second stay was a Knights Inn that I reserved through the Wyndham website. When I called about the missing 15K award – low and behold Knight’s Inn was no longer in their group. The agent said notice went out early February, but I jointed in mid February, no didn’t get the memo. Shady.
Are corporate rates excluded as a qualified stay?
I’m not sure. Did you check the full terms?
The terms were a little unclear on corp rates (no specific mention of it), so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them on these promos. In any case, I think my rate qualifies because right before reservation confirmation, it says “Earn points when you book this qualified rate.”
[…] Wyndham normally charges 15,000 points per bedroom per night. So, the 8 bedroom Manor House normally costs 120,000 points per night for a grand total of 360,000 points for 3 nights. And this 17 bedroom property pictured above would cost 765,000 points for 3 nights. I don’t know about you, but I don’t see myself ever having that many Wyndham points even if they do continue to throw points at us via lucrative deals (like this one). […]

I’m debating whether to participate. I could mattress run, but I can’t say Wyndham has a lot of properties I want to stay at. I could stock up on points in case they do another crazy cottages promo or similar, but that’s like speculatively buying points.
Do you know in practice how long the points post? Actually a few weeks or immediately after stay? Cause I have an upcoming trip booked at a wyndham in 10 days for over $200 but can just go to a nearby super8 to check in and out for 2 stays for cheap and use those points for the $200 reservation instead.. Cheers
I remember this being incredibly variable — from days to weeks to months.
If I remember right, I “think” the last time I did this for each person in my family I just used my own masterpass account for each one of us and 2) you DONT have to use a mastercard credit card —you can use what ever card you want to assign in your master pass? Agree?
I seem to recall that you don’t need a mastercard card as well.
I removed my MC from my Wyn profile, leaving just my Wyn Visa CC and ‘MasterPass’ didnt show up as a choice to confirm with. I then added an MC to my profile and bingo MP was an option. So I highly doubt anyone can assign a Visa CC to their MP acct
That said I do believe thats its possible to confirm the res by having a n MC on your profile so MP will show as an option to use for payment and then at checkout @ the hotel simply use whatever CC you want to
Masterpass is a digital wallet like PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Visa Checkout. You can use any major credit card you want with it.
Nick, can i book the stay for someone else and still get the points or should the member stay ?
Did you get the points booking for family member ?
