15K points after $4K spend with new employee card offer on Business Platinum (up to 75K points, targeted)

Some American Express Business Platinum cardmembers are seeing a new offer to earn 15,000 Membership Rewards points after each Employee Card Member that they add through a specific landing page spends $4,000 in eligible purchases on their new card in the first 6 months on each of up to 5 cards for a total of 75,000 points. That’s a solid offer that could be worth it for those with the capacity to add employee cardholders.

• Purchases made by other Employee Card Members on your Account will not count toward an Employee Card Member’s Threshold Amount.
• Purchases made by eligible Employee Card Members will not be combined to satisfy the Threshold Amount.
• Your purchases as the Basic Card Member will not count toward an Employee Card Member’s Threshold Amount.
• If you add multiple Employee Cards to your Account through the promotional offer page, the first 5 Employee Cards that reach the Threshold Amount in their first 6 months of Card Membership will earn you the bonus offer.
• The Membership Rewards^® points will be applied to the Basic Card Member’s Account within 8–12 weeks after the Threshold Amount is met by an Employee Card Member added through the promotional offer page.
• Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Eligible purchases do NOT include fees or interest charges, purchases of traveler’s checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments or purchases of other cash equivalents. Your Card Account must not be past due or canceled at the time of fulfillment of any offers.
• If you or your Employee Card Members have a history of cancelling or downgrading American Express Card accounts within your first year and you or your Employee Card Members cancel or downgrade your new Card account within your first year, we may not credit, we may freeze or we may take away Membership Rewards^® points from your account.
• If we determine that you or your Employee Card Members have engaged in abuse, misuse or gaming in connection with this offer in any way or that you intend to do so, including if you or your Employee Card Members return purchases made to meet the Threshold Amount, we may not credit, we may freeze or we may take away Membership Rewards^® points from your account. Quick Thoughts

This looks like a good offer for anybody with a decent amount of potential spend scheduled over the next six months. The deadline given on the landing page to add employees through the offer is 8/26/25. Six months from that date would be Thursday, February 26, 2026. Depending on when you take advantage of this offer, there should at the least be a few opportunities to make quarterly tax payments in that window. The six-month spending window should create plenty of time top meet the purchase threshold.

It should be noted that there is a $350 fee for each Employee Business Platinum card you add. You’d only want to add that if you want your Employee card holder to have Platinum card benefits like lounge access, elite status, etc. Otherwise, Employee Business Expense cards have a $0 annual fee and would be the better deal here, though keep in mind that your spending on those cards will earn 1 point per dollar at a base level. Still, with this offer yielding an extra 3.75x on that $4K in purchases, these employee card offers essentially turn the Employee Expense cards into cards earning 4.75 points per dollar everywhere on that $4K spend (so long as you complete the spend and assuming you’re not going far over it). That can obviously be a solid deal.
