There’s currently a Chase Offer out that’s good for 20% back at Walgreen’s up to $20 back. I’m not sure that this offer is new, but I only just noticed that I have this offer available on multiple Chase cards in my household. What makes this offer appealing of course is that Walgreens carries a wide array of gift cards, so getting 20% back should make for a great deal on many less-often-discounted brands.
The Deal
- There’s a targeted Chase Offer out for Walgreens that’s good for 20% back on your purchase up to $20 back.
Key Terms
- Expires 12/19/22
Quick Thoughts
Like I said at the top, this offer may not be new, but I’ve gotten used to so many of these Chase Offers having really low caps that if I saw this offer I may have assumed it was only good up to a couple of dollars back. However, at $20 back, this became more appealing — especially since I have it on a handful of cards in our household. Whichever kind of gift card you like, this could make for a nice deal.
Also keep in mind that as Stephen pointed out in his post about AARP the other day, those of us who have joined AARP (remember that it’s open to anyone!) can get more back in rewards in some categories at Walgreens (sadly, not on gift cards). If you’re adding this intending to buy regular merchandise at Walgreens, it might be worth figuring out how to link your AARP and Walgreens accounts to stack this a bit further.
Just be sure to max the offer out — like many Chase offers, this appears to be valid on a single purchase, so you’ll want to spend $100 in one shot to take maximum advantage.
Praying to the Chase gods that I get this offer. It was nice getting the 20% Kohl’s on quite a few cards. But Walgreens has a wider variety of gift cards.
@Jags, I think key here is do some small transaction on Walgreen on chase card/cards and in future likely will get targeted on the cards. This is my observation and going to try to do this for other cards I was not targeted. Their software likely looks at your transaction history to target. I had done transaction on one card recently and it was there.
I always get targeted for office depot offer on all my cards
Counterpoint: there’s only one OD left in my metro area, and I haven’t been there in over a decade. OD offer is on at least half of my cards.
All I have is CVS up to $4. Lame.
