I noticed a new Amex Offer out this morning for Boxed.com: Spend $125 or more, get $20 back. The good news is that it can get better yet: I found this offer on the Amex Gold card, which carries a $10 per month credit that can be used at Boxed.com, which would turn this into $30 back on $125 in total.

The Deal

  • Get $20 back when you spend $125 or more at Boxed.com with a new Amex Offer out today (enrollment required).

Key Terms

  • Expires 9/12/21
  • Valid at Boxed.com, Boxed.com/business, and the Boxed.com mobile app
  • Excludes Boxed hotels (hotels.boxed.com), Boxed Express, and alcohol products

Quick Thoughts

I found this offer on many cards, but ultimately synced it on the Gold card. The Gold card has a monthly $10 credit that can be used at Grubhub, Seamless, Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, Ruth’s Chris, or Boxed.com. We have triggered the credit with Boxed.com orders a couple of times now when we’ve needed stuff that seemed comparably priced via Boxed. Keep in mind that Boxed sells bulk items, so comparison may be a bit more difficult to normal sizes (or perhaps it will be easier for regular warehouse club shoppers). While I know they can be overpriced on some items, getting $30 back in total should mitigate that (assuming you sync this offer on the Gold card and have the monthly credit to use).

Note the Boxed Hotels exclusion. I tried that out a couple of years ago to see if it would trigger a Boxed Amex offer and it did not work as I believe the charge actually came from Rocketmiles.
