American Airlnes and Uber have announced a new partnership and integration of Uber into the airline’s app. As part of the integration, the app will offer ride reminders and maps of various airports to help customers find the Uber pickup area easier.
Also, as part of this new partnership, the companies have announced two new promotions:
- Executive Platinum members (who hold that status as of March 1, 2016) will receive 1 free Uber ride up to $25. The code for this ride will be sent in March.
- Barclaycard Aviator cardholders will earn 2 extra miles per dollar on Uber charges through July 31, 2016.
Stack with Starwood
Starwood Preferred Guest also has a partnership with Uber that will stack with the Aviator bonus points promotion. SPG members earn 1 point per dollar spent on Uber plus a bonus if they are staying at an SPG property. By linking your SPG account and paying with an Aviator card, you can earn both Starpoints and AAdvantage miles for your rides paid for with an Aviator card through July 31.
