any data points on getting TWO (2) platinum cards on same day (one for a sole prop and another for same person’s PC corp using 2 different addresses, same SSN of course)? or catching 2 bonuses by completeing those 2 spend requirements same day ???!
Yes, I’ve heard from a couple of people who have successfully signed up for two of the same Amex business cards by using two different businesses. They didn’t necessarily do it on the same day, but I think that would work too. Of course, YMMV

Thanks, Greg (late in reading my emails!). Am I correct that getting this business card will NOT affect my ability to get the Reserve? I have to wait til March for two pulls to fall off, so I certainly don’t want to add one. Thanks so much!
That’s correct — it will not change your 5/24 count at all. You will have a new inquiry on your credit report, but that is unlikely to hurt your chances of getting the Reserve later.

I’ve been purchasing gift cards at my local grocery store for a few months in order to meet requirements for a bonus point offer on my SPG amex card. I recently completed the required spend and have received the bonus, no problems. Are you saying that this won’t work for the Amex plat biz card? Can they see what I’m purchasing at the grocery store? 15K is a lot of spend but 100K points would be worth the gift card fees to me.
Yes, Amex can see what you buy. You should definitely read the “How to avoid Amex Clawbacks” article linked in the piece above.
It may depend on the merchant as to whether or not Amex gets full line item details, but certainly some do send that info. I wouldn’t risk it personally.
I received this offer from Amex but probably won’t be taking up on it. Are these offers sellable? How much would something like this go for?
You can’t get anything for the offer. It is a public offer, available to everyone.
Can I get the bonus again if I have a legit new business with a different EIN?
Probably. I know a number of people who have done this successfully. That said, I’ve heard at least one report from a person who didn’t get a bonus when he did something similar. Personally, I would risk it, but you should decide based on your own risk tolerance. Amex is unlikely to help you if you don’t get the bonus.
