Bought a $250 Hyatt eGC at newegg. So far charge is showing on my card, but no notification and no discount. Waiting to see what happens. Not definitive yet but…
Thanks for letting me know! I called AMEX one time to confirm that the charge was eligible and they are able to do it over the phone
I’m still waiting for it to pop. Still nothing. Like you said, I’ll probably call for one. Wouldn’t do this in bulk if its required each time though. I’ve often had difficulty with Amex on things like this–they want you to wait the full 60 days or whatever to see if it posts for some reason, even though it almost always posts right away. And if you then call they’ll note the offer isn’t on your account anymore (of course, since its expired) and … anyway, it can be a pain.
FYI the Best Buy offer is maxed out.
What do you mean maxed out?
@John S – why would the person “look stupid”?
Has anybody tried to buy gift cards at Best Buy. I KNOW it says corporate gift cards don’t work but it’s unclear what it means and sometimes it actually works.
Please do not copy-paste the rules, I can read and you look stupid.
I’m looking for feedback from who actually tried to buy a Starbucks or prher brands gift cards at Best Buy to get the $25 – thanks
The last time this offer came up I bought Visa gift cards and all rewards came through on every card I loaded. Seels like that was about a year ago.
Thanks!
Bought shell gas cards and offer works! Didn’t find any visa ones in couple of best buys I visited so had to go with something else.

What do you recommend buying with these offers?
I’ll be buying a physical $250 BB GC on each of my Amex cards at the store — In a few weeks when those new Macbook Pros hit the shelves in-store, I plan on picking one up. Save a few bucks. Yup. Apple Fanboy… and my current Macbook is 5 years old, so It’s about time. 😐
Thanks for the quick replies! Much appreciated
I hit the $250 mark I needed for a Hyatt stay only because of taxes, and I did receive the $60
AMEX cash back.
Hi Shawn, Do you know if room taxes count toward total on Hilton Amex offer(current offer 50 of 250) it says room rate and room charges? I hit the 250 on an upcoming stay only when I include taxes. Also, it says excluding gift cards but do you think if I was able to get the front desk to add a gift card that would work? Thanks
Whatever hits your credit card from Hilton as hotel spend (anything you charge to the room, plus taxes and fees) will count.
Thanks for answering Glenn!
