[…] buying e-gift cards from Neiman Marcus did result in earning portal rewards.  Then, last weekend, first the Alaska portal and then the United portal offered 15 miles per dollar at Neiman Marcus, and at a number of other […]

Miles posted to AS Mileage plan very quickly but didn’t last long they were all clawedback other than one non-GC purchase.

JustSaying

Did you put any small items with your card order? I ordered a 500 gc and put a 10 small cosmetic item and it paid out on Neiman’s and Alaska!

Kevin

How long does the gift card take to arrive? I bought one like 3 hours ago and it still hasn’t arrived.

JustSaying

It takes 24-48 hours for Neiman’s gift cards so you won’t be able to double up on Neiman’s gift cards. But Neiman’s always has big bonus somewhere so patience is a virtue.

Ryan

17 order placed. Here’s hoping the miles post and I can get the cards today. Would be able to double dip buying stuff to resell at a profit (before the 30 miles per dollar and 25% GC discount) netting a total of 102k miles.

billy bob

how does the 25% GC discount come in?

I got credit on Alaska for Neiman’s gift cards in December but I added a $10 item to each order and it worked great.

LZ

Thanks for the info. Did you credit card charge in one transaction or two transactions (one for GC, one for the $10 item). Also did your miles post in one or two (one for GC, one for the $10 item)?

Adding to Brandon’s comment, terms state the following: “Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents.” Any made a gift card purchase and have the miles post?

Shaun

+1 these questions whether any DP this portal will track GC purchases.

The terms suggest that gift cards are not valid, but does anyone have any experience?
