Quick Thoughts
This promotion doesn’t seem terribly compelling, but it could be worth it if you are flush with hotel points and have a strategic redemption in mind.
Not all hotel partners are participating in this promotion. You will only receive the 50% bonus on conversions from the following programs.
Out of those, the ones most likely to interest our US-based readers are likely the following (transfer ratios shown are after the 50% bonus).
If you have a strategic redemption, a conversion from IHG might make sense for you. You can often buy IHG points for about half a cent each, meaning that 5 points would cost you about 2.5 cents to purchase. If you have an Asia Miles redemption where you’re getting significantly better than 1.67 cents per point in value, that might make sense for you. None of these ratios are a great use without a very strategic use in mind.
Bottom line
This transfer bonus only makes sense in very limited scenarios. However, if that applies to you this could be worth a look. We have added this latest bonus to our Current point transfer bonuses page.
