Lowe’s is once again offering an 11% rebate in the form of a Lowe’s Gift card (physical or eGC) on purchases made at select stores (in the midwest, mostly at locations with a Menard’s nearby). The rebate states that the purchase must be in-store. In the past, online orders for in-store pick up have worked, but it’s hard to say if that will hold true as they added the in-store verbiage to this month’s rebate. If the ability to order online and pick up in-store holds up, this rebate should be stackable with portal rewards, coupon codes, and either discounted gift cards (many options can be found in our Instant Gift Card Deals resource page) or with a Chase Offer ($10 off $40 or more) — or would also be a solid stack with the 5% discount offered by the Lowe’s credit card.

Quick Thoughts
If you’re doing a remodel, this rebate could be huge in terms of getting quite a bit back on your purchase – especially if you are stacking with portal rewards, gift cards, a signup bonus, etc. As noted at the top, it is unclear whether or not online order for in-store pick up will count. Even if you’re merely stacking 11% with discounted gift cards and a coupon. Keep in mind that purchases made with gift cards forgo credit card protections like extended warranty, which might be a consideration with household appliances.
Unfortunately, it’s geographically limited to specific zip codes in the Midwest. Here is the screen shot of eligible stores — if it is hard to read, click the link under “The Deal” above:
If you’re within one of those regions, the 11% back could certainly come in handy. Unfortunately, orders for shipping to your house likely will not qualify for the rebate. See the form for full terms and conditions.

The reason this rebate is in “select stores” is that it is in markets where Lowes competes with Menards (another big-box home improvement chain mostly in the Midwest) who regularly offer an 11% rebate (usually at least once a month) I purchased a water heater (not a planned purchase til the old one sprung a leak) and this saved me over $50 in addition to the 5% off for using my Lowes credit card.

I’ve used this many times in WI. My best redemption was waiting for a sale on the appliance package we were looking at. Then we purchased a 10% off coupon for Lowe’s from eBay, got the 11% rebate, 5% back from uPromise portal and 5% back from uPromise credit card. Ended up to be about 54% off reg price and saved over $2000.
Forgot to add there was a $300 mfr rebate if you bought the package too, so actually more than 54%.
