Mother’s Day is coming up which means the 1-800 Flowers offers are increasing. A couple of days ago we shared the 26% cashback rate at Ebates, while there’s now a new Southwest offer.

Southwest Rapid Rewards 1-800 Flowers

The Deal

  • Earn 30 Rapid Rewards bonus points per $1 spent at 1-800 Flowers when using promo code SW56.
  • Direct link to offer.

Key Terms

  • Offer valid May 1, 2018 to May 14, 2018.
  • Member must provide the promotional code and Rapid Rewards account number at time of purchase to be eligible for the offer.
  • Each order of qualifying products will receive 30 Rapid Rewards bonus points per $1 spent, excluding service/delivery fees and taxes.
  • Bonus points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass qualification.

Quick Thoughts

As this offer requires the use of a promo code, it’s not possible to earn cashback through a portal.

It will stack with the $15 off $50 1-800 Flowers Amex Offer though. If you were able to place an order for exactly $50 and get free shipping, you’d earn 1,500 Rapid Rewards points at a net cost of $35.

I can’t even get this code to work since it seems like everything I add to my cart comes with the passport subscription inexorably included in the price? any idea?

Ben

1800 Flowers changed their site recently — promo codes [such as this Southwest deal] can no longer be stacked with Celebrations Passport (pay $20-$30 to get free shipping for a year).

Cashback portals (which don’t require you to enter a promo code on the checkout screen at 1800 Flowers) still seem to stack with Celebrations Passport.

1800 Flowers continues to slide further into irrelevance to our hobby…

Bob

Agreed. Anyone have any working codes that are compatible with the Celebrations Passport?

Barry

Wow. Thanks for the update. I didn’t know about this change. Looks like 1800Flowers just permanently lost my business. Unless this new policy changes before next year’s Valentine’s Day, I won’t be renewing my Celebrations Passport.

Greg The Frequent Miler

That’s a huge blow. I recently let my Celebrations Passport subscription end which is now seeming like a really good idea. On the other hand, it makes it hard for me to test this. Did you see something official stating that promo codes don’t work, or do you get an error message when trying to apply them, or something else?

Bret

Just tested it and can confirm neither the southwest or united codes work with Celebrations Passport

Greg The Frequent Miler

Thanks Bret. What happens when you try?

Ben

A little error pops up right next to where you enter the code:

This promotion code cannot be used in combination with the Passport program.

Alan

Just to provide another data point Greg, United codes that used to work for me no longer work. As Ben said, there’s a popup that say that the promo cannot be used with Passport. Really disappointing that 1800flowers would make a move like this but at least I guess this means I’ll rely on portals to get cashback unless they’re putting restrictions on it there too.

James

Will this work for Harry and David (and stack w/ AMEX offer $50 or more get $15 back) and SWA?

Barry

I’m still waiting for 1750 Rapid Rewards on $35 spent, but I don’t think that it’s coming this year for Mother’s Day.
