Meijer mPerks has a new reward offer that’s giving $5 back for every $50 spent on restaurant gift cards. While not profitable from a reselling perspective, it could be useful for personal use, especially when paid for with a card earning a bonus at grocery stores.

- Get $5 off your next total purchase for every $50 you spend on select restaurant gift cards.

Quick Thoughts
The reward wording states that it’s valid on “select” restaurant gift cards, but they haven’t specified which restaurant brands are included or excluded. That leads me to believe that anything that would reasonably be considered a restaurant will be included, especially seeing as Happy Dining gift cards are included based on the image above.
This is effectively a 10% discount that’ll be available on your next shopping trip, although the subsequent rewards are only available for a limited time. That 10% discount means this isn’t worthwhile for gift card resellers, but could be useful for personal use.
Don’t forget to pay with a card that earns at a higher rate at grocery stores, such as the American Express Gold card that now offers 4x Membership Rewards.
