Ebates is offering 26% cash back today at 1800Flowers. The timing on this offering is great as it will stack with current offers for $15 back on $50 or $10 back on $40 through either Amex Offers or Chase Offers. By stacking the two, you could save around 50% on an order of $40 or $50.
The Deal
- 26% cash back at 1800Flowers.com through Ebates
Key Terms
- Cash back is not available when using promo codes
Free Shipping
In order to make this deal worthwhile, you must get free shipping on the order. There are several ways to do so:
- Enroll in ShopRunner free with Amex (found here), or free with PayPal (found here), or free with World Mastercard (found here).
Or: - Enroll in 1800-Flowers Celebrations Passport at a discount ($19.99 instead of $29.99). Details here.
The advantages of Celebrations Passport over ShopRunner are:
- Celebrations Passport works with 1800Flowers promo codes, ShopRunner does not
- Celebrations Passport offers free shipping for a much larger selection of items than with ShopRunner
Quick Thoughts
Greg caught wind of this increased bonus thanks to this morning’s Frequent Miler Portal Alerts. Unfortunately, portal rewards do not stack with promo codes, so you can not stack this with offers to earn 30x Alaska miles or 1,000 Companion Pass-qualifying Southwest Rapid Rewards points (as found in our guide to Extreme Stacking 1800Flowers). However, this increased cash back rate will stack with credit card rewards, including the latest Amex Offer for $15 back on $50 that expires at the end of March:
If you went through Ebates and spent exactly $50 before shipping, your cost breakdown would look like this:
$50 (1800Flowers order)
– 13 (Ebates cash back)
– 15 (Amex Offer)
$22 final cost
That’s a savings of 56%. You can even save a bit more by paying with an Amex Business card which offers an automatic 5% cash back at 1800Flowers via OPEN Savings.
While 1800Flowers doesn’t offer the cheapest pricing on gifts, it’s certainly convenient for sending gifts to someone out of town, unexpectedly, or even when scheduling something in advance (so you don’t have to worry that you might forget about Great Aunt Annabelle’s birthday). Keep in mind that 1800Flowers brands ship many food items in addition to floral gifts.
Alternatively, you could take advantage of the current Chase Offer for $10 back on $40.
I previously wrote about New Chase Offers & why you might want to wait on activation. That offer has shown in my account for some time. By not activating it, the expiration date has slowly pushed out from 1/3/18 to 2/15/18. If you stack Ebates with the Chase Offers, here’s your math:
$40 (1800 Flowers order)
– 10.40 (Ebates cash back)
– 10 (Chase Offer)
$19.60 final cost
That’s a savings of 51% off their retail pricing.
Promo code SW48 will get you 1750 Southwest Rapid Rewards on purchases of $34.99 or greater on 1800flowers through 2/15/2018. Limit of 5 orders per Rapid Rewards number. I found the info on this website https://milled.com/southwest/enter-to-win-a-romantic-punta-cana-vacation-uSNHFxkI_ZRgWFWZ
Finding anything meaningful on this overpriced website is a bigger challenge!!!
[…] 26% back at 1800Flowers (Thurs Feb 1): Stack with with offers to save big by Frequent Miler. Personally think the quality and selection is lacking, but if you can stack it enough you can get some good deals. […]

Any idea if you get Ebates cash back if you are ordering Harry & David, Stock Yards, etc. products through the 1800flowers site?
oh yes you do! and you can even use discounted Discover card 1800 flowers gift cards for harry and david stuff too!!!!!!!!!!!!111
to be honest 50% off miles is not same as 26% cashback. When you buy thru miles program prices of the flowers are already up.
I suppose you don’t get Ebates cashback if you paid with gift cards ?
Actually, you should. If you used a promo code for miles you wouldn’t earn the miles.
If you have Celebrations Passport, I’d consider the 30 United miles per dollar (promo code MP67) to be a better value than the 26% cash back on EBates. If each United point is worth 1.4 cents, it would be equivalent to 42% back.
I would suggest 1750 Jetblue points with $34.99+ order would give 50% back considering you spend exact amount.
I agree in general that the mile offers are better than 26% cash back, but the portal is more flexible. Unlike the promo code offers, the portal works with gift cards, with ShopRunner, and with anything you want to buy from the site.
I thought ShopRunner had the same variety of flowers available for free delivery as Celebrations Passport. How can you see the difference in bouquets available for free shipping?
Also, do you know if Celebrations Passport removes same-day or next day delivery surcharges (or even holidays)? With ShopRunner it’s something like $5.99 for same-day delivery and $3.99 for the following day.
They’re different, but I don’t know how to identify them. I’ve had a number of items show up as not available for free shipping through ShopRunner that are available through Passport.
Celebrations Passport still charges extra for many same-day and next day deliveries, but I’ve seen cases where it’s different. For example, I noticed that a Sunday delivery would have cost $3.99 with ShopRunner but it was free with Passport
The Chase Offer specifies that Paypay and Venmo transactions do not qualify.
Right, so don’t pay with Paypal or Venmo
Will ShopRunner negate the Ebates cashback?
Shoprunner and Ebates should work together.
