The American Airlines shopping portal is offering 3x miles at GiftCards.com today. That should stack with the shopping portal bonus, which could make for an excellent deal.
The Deal
- The American Airlines AAdvantage shipping portal is offering 3 miles per dollar today at GiftCards.com. This stacks with the current portal bonus.
- Direct link to this offer
Key Terms
- Orders over $2,000.00 max per month per customer are not eligible.
- This merchant is temporarily unable to reward for purchases made using the default settings for Safari 12, which automatically block the cookies required for this merchant to track your purchase. This feature can be turned off in your browser settings by disabling the ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ setting.
- Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this the AA shopping portal.
Quick Thoughts
Three miles per dollar is already a nicely-increased rate. Stacked with the shopping portal offer, which yields 4,000 bonus miles when spending $1,200 or more, you could end up with as many as 7,600 miles for a $1200 order. That should easily mitigate the activation fees on the cards even before considering the value of any credit card rewards (at least if you value American Airlines miles).

Has this tracked for anyone? My transaction shows under “Recent store visits” but not under “Recent transactions”.
Well I went to Giftcards.com through AA to try and get this deal. But they still had coupon for $75 off in my checkout – so I used that for $75 off $750 in visa cards
Then I went back and try buy another $1200 but they cancelled all the orders instantly as ‘fraud department” – but $750 + $1200 is just under the $2000
This might not be stackable since the 4000 bonus miles might not post when shopping at gc.com
“Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases.
It will.
Assuming the Chase Freedom Q4 5X for PayPal purchases would not stack, correct?
Or the Amex Bonvoy 50k Marriott points offer on PayPal?
Do you have any strategies for liquidating or MSing virtual Visa/MC giftcards?
Just go ahead and forward me the card numbers, exp. dates and security codes and I’ll send you back the cash. I promise.
