There’s a new Amex Offer out today that’s good for $40 back on $200 or more at Frontier Airlines. That could obviously make a cheap flight even cheaper if you have plans coming up on Frontier.

Quick Thoughts

This could obviously be a good offer if a Frontier Airlines flight meets your needs. This may be especially useful for those who have matched elite status to Frontier. Anyone who has matched to any of the 3 Frontier elite tiers gets a free carry-on and seat selection (and given that you can even match from hotel or cruise line status, it’s pretty easy to get at least 20K status). Those who have matched to Frontier 100K status (from American Airlines Platinum Pro or higher, JetBlue Mosaic 2 or 3, Southwest Companion Pass, Delta Platinum, or many others) get a free checked bag also among other benefits. Given the way Frontier prices flights, that could already make Frontier a pretty good deal — taking off an additional 20% with this offer (assuming exactly $200 in spend) would make things a bit sweeter yet.
