Lowe’s is offering a coupon good for $50 off of $250+ when you subscribe to Lowe’s Pro text alerts. Note that the coupon is valid in-store only. I’m not sure that a Google Voice number will work, but I’d bet it does and it is what I recommend when subscribing to stuff like this.

Quick Thoughts
I didn’t text for this one as we’re expecting about a foot of snow where I live today and Lowe’s is 30 miles away, but if you have plans to go to Lowe’s today, you could save fifty bucks with this. Stack it with the current Amex Offer for 10% back at Lowe’s if you have that available for even more savings.
Note that reports indicate that this coupon does not work on gift cards despite not having terms excluding them in the fine print (appears to be hard-coded in the register not to allow GC purchases).
Good deal for those who can use it.
