The Deal
- Get 5% off site-wide with promo code BREAK5 at Raise.com (up to a max discount of $10)
- Direct link to this deal
Key Details
- Stack with a portal, but be aware of portal lifetime limits (see the best current rates here)
- Valid 3/22/19 only until 11:59pm Central Time
- Limit one per household
Quick Thoughts
If you’re buying a discounted gift card already, this might help you stack a little more savings on top. Note the max discount of $10 and the portal lifetime limits on cash back. If you haven’t yet maxed out portal cash, you could potentially stack that and this for a decent deal (maybe even on Tumi luggage, though I won’t be doing that).
H/T: Doctor of Credit
I’m guessing it’s automated, but if not, there’s not much point including a post like this in the morning newsletter given that the coupon code expired at midnight. 🙂
Sorry I missed this comment, Kent.
It sounds like you’re subscribed to our daily newsletter. We offer several types of email subscriptions to allow readers to decide how much email they’d like to receive:
——–
Instant: Receive an email every time we post something on Frequent Miler. This option is best for those who want to know about limited-time deals like this one, as you’ll receive the notification right away.
Daily: Receive one email every day with that morning’s main analytical post and all of the posts from the previous 24 hours. This is best for those who want to know what’s going on each day, but aren’t concerned with catching every limited-time deal.
Weekly: Receive one email every week with summaries of the week’s main analytical posts, summaries of key reading selections from around the web, and the weekly last chance deals. This is best for those who want to limit the quantity of email received, but what to keep the pulse of the hobby and skim through summaries to decide which posts are most relevant to them.
——-
Again, we offer different options so you can choose what works best for you. You are correct that the daily email is automated to include all of the posts from the previous 24 hours and some of the best deals will inherently expire in the interim (some of the very best deals expire within hours of posting) while others will be ongoing (like a a Staples or supermarket gift card deal that’s good for a week or a transfer bonus or quarterly promo that may be good for a few months). We try to be clear within the title and/or first sentence when a post is expiring the same day it is posted so that daily subscribers will know quickly if a deal was scheduled to have ended the day it was posted.
If you’re interested in changing your subscription settings, you can easily unsubscribe from your current selection via the link at the bottom of that email and then re-subscribe to the list you want via the “Subscribe” button at the top of any Frequent Miler page or here:

I had the BREAK10 in my raise account notifications. But it didnt work, saying that it was for select customers only. Regardless, I ordered hulu egift cards (with BREAK5) to offset the recent price increase. Used ebates cc on the ebates portal for MR points.
